Van rolled down some stairs
At noon this Friday an ice delivery van, which was standing in the central Rosarico La Joaquín street, has rolled down the stairs of the Puerta del Molino street, descending 13 steps, until hitting the railings. There have been no injuries.
Mayor, Alejandro Herrero (PSOE), apparently the accident has occurred as a result of a failure to place the handbrake of the vehicle, that is why it has moved forward. “Luckily, at that time no one was going through that flight of stairs,”
Local Police maintained and cordoned off the area and is waiting for a specialized crane, large enough , to remove the crashed van.
In May 2017, a similar accident occurred in this axárquica locality, although on that occasion the damages, also only material, were much greater. An all-terrain vehicle fell on a terrace of a nearby restaurant, after breaking a wall , destroying several tables, umbrellas and chairs. Luckily, no one was sitting in the area at that time.
