The Frigiliana Art Route
which this year has celebrated its third edition, is consolidated as a cultural event of our municipality. From October 4 to 6, the visit to Frigiliana has been complemented by exhibitions by about fifty artists in different locations in the town.
During these three days, the route information point has registered 874 visitors of Spanish nationality and 885, foreign. These data represent an improvement over previous editions, showing an increase in interest among foreigners.
On an artistic level, the organisation highlights the diversity of disciplines (digital illustration, painting, sculpture, ceramics, collage, photography …) that have been exhibited this year on the route. Also noteworthy are the increased sales of works of art in this edition.
From the Department of Culture of the City Council they want to show their gratitude to Maribel Martín and Brendon Taylor, coordinators of the route, to the participants, to the people who give up their spaces as exhibition halls and to the Frigilianarte Association.
Carmen Cerezo, councilor for culture and tourism, is happy with this initiative that “is in tune with the interest we have from the Department to enhance the quality of our tourism offer.”
