Frigiliana Walk.. help the children of Walmara.
One more year, Frigiliana will show her more supportive face with the walk to help the children of Walmara.
The objective of this walk is to provide clothes for 290 children from 3 to 7 years old in this Ethiopian city.
Most Walmara families do not have financial resources to buy clothes for their children. Boys and girls can spend years with just a pair of pants and a T-shirt, this being their only dress. The money raised in the solidarity walk of Frigiliana will be dedicated to the purchase of sportswear for boys and girls who attend Abay’s nursery school in Walmara every day.
The walk will take place on December 29. It will leave at 11:30 am from the Parque de Andalucía and will end at the municipal pool. Registration can be done in the Municipal Pavilion until December 28 and the same day December 29 from 10: 00h to 11: 30h in the Parque de Andalucía. The solidarity contribution is 5 euros and includes commemorative shirt and paella in the municipal pool.
Two representatives of our town will travel to Walmara to deliver both the money and the donated material in this solidarity initiative that is organized by the Abay Ethiopia association with the participation of the City Council of Frigiliana.
From the City Council we are grateful for the collaboration that the following associations and local clubs have provided: Brotherhood of Frigiliana, Peña Malaguista, Asociación Juventud Aguanosa, Peña Madridista, Chess Club villa de Frigiliana, Club Aguanosos MTB, CD Frigiliana (Agrupa), Peña Barcelonista and Shotokan-Frigiliana Club.
