The 2019 Carnival 9th March

Once again on Saturday, 9th March, the streets of Frigiliana will be filled with colour and joy. Carnival is coming!

The parade will depart at 4:30 p.m. from the Plaza de la Iglesia, it will go through Calle Real, Calle San Sebastián, it will reach the neighborhood of San Antonio and will return via San Sebastián street to end in the plaza of the 3 Cultures. There will be a great party entertained by Proyecto Mandarina, DJ Elías Moreno and DJ Toulalan.

The party is accompanied by a contest that rewards the best costumes. The City Council, through the Youth Council, has established several awards: the most original costume (group), the most elegant (group), the most elaborate (in a group), the visitor, the best adult couple , an honor prize and another one for the best adult individual costume.

This year, with the aim of increasing the participation of children, several categories of specific prizes have been included for them (best youth group, individual child and best child couple).
