Fifth edition of Pedal Day

May 1st 2019, Labor Day, will be celebrated in Frigiliana with a festive day that will begin with the celebration of Pedal Day. This activity, in its fifth edition, will consist of a tour of the town by bicycle for approximately one hour. All interested persons can participate since the route is low difficulty, but you must have your own bicycle. 

The participants will leave at 12:00h, from the Plaza del Ingenio, continue along Calle Real, Chorruelo, Rosarico la Joaquin, Carlos Cano, Paseo de las 3 Culturas, Avda. Andalucía, Calle San Sebastián and finish at the Plaza del Ingenio. Registration can be made from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm in the Plaza del Ingenio.

After the cycling tour of Frigiliana, the festive day will continue in the Plaza del Ingenio with a series of performances by the groups Cosmic Debris (local progressive rock group), Rosstown (classics – Funk, Soul, Blues & Rock n Roll) and Los Canallas (local Pop Rock group). Among the performances, you can also enjoy a session of zumba.

The council of sports and the City Council are grateful for the collaboration of the Aguanosos MTB Club that will manage the bicycle tour through the municipality and will award prizes to the oldest bicycle, to the most veteran cyclist and to the most original participation. They also appreciate the collaboration of Cáritas Frigiliana, who will take charge of the bar that will be installed in the Plaza del Ingenio. 

The Department of Sports will give a T-shirt to the first 350 enrolled in Pedal Day and will serve paella for all participants. He also encourages participation in these activities and hopes that all attendees enjoy and have a great day.
