Fiber optic will reach Avenida Andalucía and Cortijo San Rafael

The City of Frigiliana has signed a collaboration agreement with the telephone company Movistar for the expansion of fiber optics in Avda. Andalucía, which was blocked for years and will start the work necessary to install fiber optic in the year 2020 in the urbanisation of the San Rafael farmhouse.

Fiber optics is the latest broadband technology that offers many advantages over traditional copper connections. In addition to reaching much higher speeds (both up and down) the fiber connections allow to guarantee these speeds and the quality of the service. The optical fiber will be a very important improvement in the current speed of connection to the Internet in these areas.
