Consultation of the electoral roll
From today until October 7 inclusive, the deadline for consultation and possible claims of the electoral roll that will be used for the next general elections of November 10 is opened. This consultation can be done at the City Council, after identification of the person, and from 9 am to 2 pm. From October 17, the OCE (Office of the Electoral Census) will send to each elector resident in Spain a census card with the table and the polling place where they are entitled to vote. It is recalled that the electoral roll in force for these elections is closed on July 1, 2019, which contains the variations produced in the records of origin (municipalities or consulates) until June 27.
In addition to this consultation, the right of exclusion can be exercised to receive electoral propaganda . Voters may request the exclusion of copies of the electoral roll that are given to the representatives of the candidates for the sending of electoral propaganda. These exclusions are continuous and have permanent effect as long as the voter does not manifest in the opposite direction. Those who make this request until October 7 will not receive electoral propaganda from the political parties in the electoral campaign of these elections. Applications after October 7 will take effect in the next elections held.
The request for exclusion can be made online, with an electronic certificate, at the INE Electronic Headquarters ( https://sede.ine.gob.es/oposicionPartidos ) or at the municipalities, consular offices and provincial delegations of the OCE by submitting of a standardized form.
